Workplace Ethics and Preventing Workplace and Campus Harassment

Dr Jim HortonDear Colleagues:

Yavapai College is committed to creating a work and learning environment that puts a premium on civility, respect, honesty, integrity, creativity and professionalism. These are shared values and ethical principles at the heart of our College.

In keeping with our commitment, we have two resources aimed at helping us understand relevant laws and policies. One resource is an online training program called Preventing Workplace and Campus Harassment and the second is an annual Workplace Ethics program with varying format. Both resources are designed to help ensure our professional behavior is beyond reproach and guide our actions in difficult decisions.

I am fully committed to ensuring our College enjoys a civil and inclusive atmosphere that advances our mission and our reputation for excellence in serving our community. I encourage all of us to use these principles as a guide in the conduct of our activities.

James Horton, Ph.D.
Yavapai College President
