InfoPortal

infoportal
An InfoPortal display showing an intern's "Women's Suffrage" presentation.

The InfoPortal is a large-screen presentation system that introduces students and community patrons to Yavapai College programs, services, and resources, as well as to the world of art, literature, and ideas. The InfoPortal combines video, slide presentations, and sound to transform a blank wall into an effective information delivery system about the College and the world.

A large plasma screen displays text, movies, music, and images created by graphic design student interns and library staff.

In the past year, students and library staff have completed the following presentations:

Women’s History Month * Personal Counseling * Verde Campus Library Threshold * Black History Month * Weather the Storm (Finals Week) * Hispanic Heritage Month * Banned Book Week * Native American History Month Strategic Initiatives * Beautiful Libraries of the World * Worlds AIDS Week * Rough Writer * Hassayampa Writers Institute * Graphic Design Class Student Work * Library/Computer Commons Technology Training Series * Zaki Gordon Institute Student Films * Putumayo World Music * Yavapai College Authors * Arizona Trails * Steve Mason 3D Art
